Kervins Chauvet who worked on the Nike Equality campaign has struck again.

Client: Procter and Gamble
Agency: Wieden + Kennedy Portland

Kervins Chauvet – Copywriting Alum (2014)
Copywriter at Wieden + Kennedy

No one loves like Mom, Procter & Gamble declares with its newest spot, “#LoveOverBias.”

The spot, made by Wieden + Kennedy, is tied to the 2018 Winter Olympics. It also comes shortly after P&G’s celebrated spot “The Talk” and its larger “Black is Beautiful” campaign. Kudos to P&G for supporting inclusion in a particularly tenuous political climate.

Whitney Repole – Copywriting Student (2018)
Julia Ball – Art Direction Alumna (2016)

The brief was to design a poster that represented the theme “The movement for diversity includes everyone, and requires everyone.

“Diversity is an issue that gets a ton of lip-service and not a lot of concrete action, which is why we chose to make a pull-tab, interactive poster. To change the ice cream cone from plain old vanilla to a more interesting combination of flavors requires literal action from multiple people. It’s a simple, lighthearted way to illustrate an obvious benefit of diversity: we’re better when we’re different.” – Whitney Repole

Ari Weiss
North American CCO at DDB
Creative Circus Alum (2001)

‘Mobile’ has been the buzzword at Advertising Week it seems for over a decade. Now that marketers are getting more savvy with how they address mobile creativity, however, the panels that discuss them are more important than ever.

With Facebook’s global creative director Andrew Keller at the helm Tuesday morning at Advertising Week, with a panel featuring R/GA’s Chloe Gottlieb, BBDO’s Tara DeVeaux and DDB’s Ari Weiss, mobile creative it seems finally got a fair shake, with the panel talking everything from the rise of collaboration to what mobile content really means in a consumer-controlled world.

“Stay uncomfortable. But not in a bad way…in a way where we’re looking to find different solutions.” – Ari Weiss

Cost Plus World Market gets close to its consumers in campaign.

It’s the first work from barrettSF for Cost Plus, and it includes a 40-page product catalog that’s only 2 inches tall and a fully furnished living room built on top of a Chicago bus shelter, in keeping with the tiny-home theme.

The campaign, which also includes digital and mobile, in-store displays and direct mail, will run into early September. It’s aimed at twentysomething urban dwellers moving into their first apartments and empty-nesters who are downsizing.

“Fifty years ago, in the fictional world of Mad Men, Don Draper pitched a daring ad campaign to Heinz execs, for the brand’s ketchup, that proposed not showing the product at all. Instead, the ads would show close-ups of foods that go great with ketchup—french fries, a cheeseburger, a slice of steak—but without any ketchup in sight.” –
