We’re happy to share that Stephen Curry, Executive Creative Director at Lewis will be speaking on Friday, April 27th at The Creative Circus.
A former Creative Circus instructor, Stephen mentored copywriters who have gone on to work at the top agencies in the country. He started his career in Atlanta, where his campaign to change the Georgia state flag captured worldwide attention and was honored by the One Show.
He then moved to Boston to work with Hill Holliday on Dunkin Donuts, Fleet Bank, Edison Beer and The Boston Globe.
For more than a decade, Stephen has led creative at LEWIS Birmingham. Today he’s responsible for creative at all four of the agency’s offices across the South. His creative teams have led the agency to national acclaim, capturing three National ADDYS and more than a dozen inclusions in the CA Advertising, Design, Typography, and Photography Annuals.
In a recent year, LEWIS won more local ADDY Awards than any other agency in the South.
In 2014 Stephen was a National ADDY judge, and LEWIS was one of four ad agencies worldwide profiled with a feature article in Communication Arts. His work has received recognition from CA, One Show, Archive, Graphis, Print, and the Hatch Awards, for such diverse brands as Tiffin Motorhomes, Stony Brook Children’s, and ALFA Insurance.
On Friday, Stephen will share his agency’s creative and tell the story of reinventing his own career, when he quit his ACD job and started over as a junior writer to do better work.
